The second-place winner was Graham Keating of Sydney, Australia (left, in the photo). Keating has been the city’s crier since 1986. Third place was Chris Whyman, who has been Kingston's town crier since 1984.
“(Riddell) placed second to me in 2010 and says he wanted to ‘take me down on my home turf,’ ” Whyman said following the competition. “Well he did it. Considering I couldn’t speak yesterday, I was happy with the results. But overall I just wanted all the criers to experience the hospitality of Kingston and the great people who live here.”
