We'll have herb starts, veggie starts, tomato starts & annual flower starts, perennials and flower baskets.
Farmers will have salad greens, chard, asparagus, leeks, potatoes, sprouts, mushrooms, rhubarb, chevre, gouda, cheddar & other specialty cheeses, chicken, eggs, shrimp, trees & did I mention starts of all varieties.
Other fabulous items at the market include but are not limited to Baked goods, espresso, seafood, fresh flowers, wonderful breakfast & lunch options, fresh lemonade, kettle korn, granola, soaps & body products, baby items, sparking jewelry, funky art, home care & decor, too, too much to list it all. And remember to bring your knives and gardening tools for sharpening.
Sprouts are the most alive food on earth. This class will cover the history, research and nutritive value of sprouts, as well as which seeds to sprout, where to purchase them, how to tend and grow them, and ways to create great-tasting salads from your indoor sprout garden. If you like to watch things grow, sprouting is a delight!
Instructor Julianne Ash is a nurse, healer, educator, and farmer. She is a Registered Nurse with 25 years experience in clinical nursing and 25 years practice in the healing arts. The latter include integration therapy, healing touch, clinical aromatherapy, and sound therapy. She raised three children on a small farm in eastern Washington, and now has seven beautiful grand children.
Her current adventure is farming a small acreage of organic vegetables for a seven-family CSA. She also works as a Caregiver/RN for Chandler’s Square in Anacortes. She is passionate about growing herbs and using them for vibrant health, good dense-nutrient food, and the healing arts. She lives in Anacortes with her husband Lee.
