The ferry seemed to have difficulty finding the ferry landing as it approached some 20 minutes before eventually docking and about 10 or 15 minutes behind schedule. In the minutes before docking, the ferry landing sounded a siren several times.
Those of us at the ferry landing could hear the ferry for at least 15 minutes as it moved from west to east, getting louder along the way. Then we heard the ferry move away and to the west before moving again to the east and, finally, moving close enough to barely see it before hearing a crunch as it appeared to hit a fixed dolphin.
The ferry captain managed to straighten out the approach before finally docking.
