Skyline power outage scheduled for Monday

The affected power-outage area extends roughly from Parkside Drive eastward to Heather Drive, and from Sunset Avenue southward to Skyline Way South and Doon Way.

"These upgrades will help give our Skyline customers more reliable service," said Cory Ertel, Puget Sound Energy community service manager in Skagit County and an Anacortes resident. "We apologize for any inconvenience this necessary outage may cause."

A PSE information booth will be set up in the Skyline Beach Club parking lot, 6401 Sands Way in Anacortes. PSE community relations representatives will be available throughout the day Monday to answer questions about the construction work and provide other utility-related information.

Traffic delays could result from replacement of three power poles along Sunset Avenue near Skyline Way North and Shannon Avenue, Ertel noted. Some excavation may be required to complete the upgrade work, he added, but crews will repair any damaged landscaping.
