But, when it comes to Skagit County votes on statewide measures, the votes are close, with the exception of Tim Eyman's measure to require a two-thirds vote of the legislature or a popular vote before raising taxes, which is winning in Skagit County by a 66% to 34% vote.
In other measures, county voters approve legalizing marijuana by a 55% to 45% vote. And, early countywide votes for a charter school system, and for marriage for sam-sex couples are about 50-50.
