Join WSU Skagit County Beach Watchers! They are trained volunteers dedicated to protecting our local waters through education, research and stewardship. The 100 hour training is being offered in two session: April 1-26 and October 4-28. Classes meet Tuesdays and Fridays each week, 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. at Padilla Bay Estuarine Reserve in Bayview, WA.
This university-level course is taught by experts and includes field trips and hands-on practice. In return, Beach Watchers continue learning while volunteering at least 100 hours over 2 years as citizen scientists, educators and project planners.
