With a little more than 27,000 votes counted as of Thursday afternoon, Lytton has about 27 percent of the votes in the 40th district. Only a little more than 200 votes separate Republican Mike Newman (16%), Democrat Tom Pasma (15%) and Republican Dusty Gulleson (15%) for the second spot. Both Pasma and Gulleson have the same vote totals.
In Skagit County, Lytton is leading Newman by only 61 votes, She's well ahead of the next highest vote getter in San Juan and Whatcom counties. Gulleson is second in Whatcom County and Pasma is second in San Juan County.
