One good way to enjoy the summer is to go to the beach. Photographer Steve Berentson found these people at Rosario Beach on Thursday, when the temperature hit 94 in downtown Anacortes. That was the day's high, as recorded at the downtown fire station, which is the official weather record keeper here.
The weather service is promising a cooling trend through the weekend. Next week's temperatures should be closer to normal.
