Summer arrives, but a little late

Wednesday's 87 degree high in Anacortes wasn't far off from Sea-Tac's high of 90, but quite a bit higher than the 78 degree high at Burlington airport on Wednesday.

The weather service is forecasting a cooling trend for the next couple of days.

Meanwhile, the weather service has issued a heat advisory Thursday for the area from Snohomish County south as far as Portland., saying "Daytime temperatures: highs will be in the lower to mid 90s for much of the area today... and in the upper 80s and lower 90s on Friday."
