State Ferries community meetings set

The Washington State Ferries will hold a community meeting in Anacortes in about a month to answer questions and gather public comments on issues related to the ferry system. The Anacortes meeting is one of a series set for May.

WSF will hold the Anacortes community meeting on May 27 at the Lutheran Church at 22nd St. and O Ave. It's a lunch meeting, but the lunch is optional. If you want lunch, you'll need to register at 293-7911. Cost is $15.

“I am looking forward to meeting with our customers and community members to discuss the direction received this legislative session and the priorities for the ferry system moving forward,” said David Moseley, Assistant Secretary for WSF.

In these meetings WSF will provide information, answer questions and hear public comments on a variety of issues related to the ferry system, including new vessel construction progress, vehicle reservations, the marketing program, efforts to improve on-time performance, the fare change process and emergency service planning.
