Tankers derailed at March's Point: no leaks

The six tanker cars were part of an 18-car train that derailed around 8:30 Monday night. Some cars were tiled, others fell on their sides or flipped over on their tops, according to a railroad spokesman. He said the cars worked as designed, preventing any leaks.

The cause of the derailment is under investigation. The train was traveling at a low rate of speed when the derailment occurred at a point where Burlington Northern tracks meet refiner tracks.

As a precaution, some homes on March's Point were evacuated.
