The 98-year old Depot Arts Center is getting a facelift this week as volunteers scrape and paint. We caught up with Dave Lowry of Lowry Painting as he did some work on one of the doors.
Russ Pettis, the city's facilities manager, rounded up a group of
wreestlers, yes wrestlers, and painting contractors to first scrape,
then paint the Depot.
Last January, the Depot was re-roofed at a cost of $107,000. Other
upgrades, including paving the area used by the Farmers Market, have
been in the planning stages but have languished for lack of funds.
