Building a complicated playground with volunteer help isn’t something that is done every day. The one-year anniversary of such an amazing feat definitely calls for a celebration! And that is just what the Our Town Our Park folks arranged at Storvik Park on Sunday.
Those who had helped build the playground showed up to join in the festivities and kids swarmed over their favorite play area with abandon, enjoying the place all over again Lots of kids’ activities, including face painting, made the day and the place even more exciting than usual. Free cotton candy, hot dogs and salad provided a picnic for all comers.
