State Sen. Mary Margaret Haugen received a commemorative "Saved" poster Friday night at the Anacortes Waterfront Festival kickoff dinner. Haugen received a standing ovation in recognition of her key role in saving the Anacortes-Sidney, B.C. ferry route from the budget cutter's blade this year. Mayor Dean Maxwell made the presentation.
