He has owned Simply Yards about six years and bought it while it was in bankruptcy. During the six years, Lawrence said he grew the company and has not moved from Bellingham to Anacortes. The company now has about 28 employees.
He said that Simply Yards will only take up part of the space and that he intends to rent out about 6,000 square feet of the 10,000 square foot building.
Lawrence also said he intends to build a second and possibly third building on the same lot.
He said his other company, Setter Lane Investments, purchased the property last year.
