The Anacortes American says the commissioners are expected to approve a least for property where the Captain's Place restaurant once stood. Port Executive Director Bob Hyde told the paper Anthony's representatives are expected to sign the lease on Friday.
Hyde did not return our calls for comment.
The Port of Anacortes as been working with the city on utility connections and permitting. The area is currently a gravel lot, with a grassy area to the south that is being used for a series of concerts.
The Anthony's chain of 24 restaurants is owned by Budd Gould of Seattle and includes the Hearthfire Grill in Bellingham, Chinook's at Salmon Bay in Seattle and Haarbor Lights in Tacoma.
