That perennial story, It’s a Wonderful Life is playing at Anacortes Community Theatre this holiday season.

George Bailey’s dreams of escape and adventure have been quashed by family obligation.  His guardian angel descends on Christmas Eve to save him from despair and to remind him it has been, after all, a wonderful life.

Bailey’s guardian angel, Clarence, is sent to help him when he considers suicide. The play, starring Tim Brown as Bailey and Robin Begin as Clarence, is on stage Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoon for the next two weeks. Tickets are $16.

An ageless classic for the Holidays. It’s based on the film of the same name and the short story “The Greatest Gift” written by Philip Van Doren Stern.
