Glass works by Steve Klein are among the art featured at this month’s First Friday Gallery Walk, from 6 to 9pm Friday, in downtown Anacortes.

ACME Creative, 705 Commercial Ave.

April brings artists Steve Klein and Meg Holgate to the ACME Gallery. Klein’s distinctive kiln-formed work and Holgate’s paintings, drawings and glass sculpture are a perfect marriage of quiet balance and gentle movement.

Burton Jewelers, 620 Commercial Ave.

Burton Jewelers will feature an expanded show of “Two Perspectives”, Linda Henley & James Keul (Mother & Son) floral themed watercolor and landscape oil paintings. The show will be much enhanced with new works coming out of their show in North Carolina. Complimenting the painting wills be a special new selection of Lundberg art glass from California. The April Birthstone is diamond and a special selection of impressive and interesting diamonds will be shown. Refreshments and hors d’eouvres will be offered.

“SPRING HAS SPRUNG”. Scott Milo Gallery, 420 Commercial Ave.

Scott Milo Gallery’s “Tulip Poster Artists, Past and Present” will feature the oils on metal by 2017 poster artist, Trish Harding, watercolors by 2016 artist Sandy Haight, vibrant oil pastels by 2005 artist Brett Varney and color photographs by 2000 and 2003 artist Randy Dana. All artists will be at the reception signing posters from their various years. Also showing are quilts by Fidalgo Island Quilt Group, in addition to new jewelry, sculptures, and glass work.

The Majestic Inn and Spa, 419 Commercial Ave.

The Majestic is proud to feature art from Tom Krowl during the month of April. Tom was born and raised in New York City. Although he has had no formal training, Tom discovered a love for the arts at a young age and is self-taught. Tom also restores paintings, including the enormous “Lady in the Woods” piece at The Majestic which originated in 1889 from Manchester, England.

Join us at the Anacortes First Friday Artwalk for Tulips and Literature. Open from 6-9 pm on First Friday, April 7th and Saturday, April 8th from 10 am to 2 pm. Presented by the Anacortes Arts Commission. Featuring local artists in photography, painting and sculpture in honor of the Tulip. And featuring local authors and their stories to tell (fiction and non-fiction).
