Anacortes will begin Independence Day celebrations on Sunday at 5:30PM with a patriotic event at the Depot Arts Center at 611 R. Ave to honor those who have served our country.

Families are encouraged to bring a picnic and blanket.  The evening will have a short patriotic commemoration followed by games and entertainment. Local service clubs will be selling food items.

On Monday July 4, festivities will continue with the Town Picture at 5th and Commercial at 10am, followed by the annual parade at 11am. In commemoration of Anacortes’ 125th birthday, parade participants are encouraged to enter decorated floats as in parades of year’s past.  There will not be a formal event at Causland Park following the parade. The parade route will be adjusted to end at the Depot Arts Center.

Fun family events will continue at the Port of Anacortes’ Rock the Dock event at Seafarer’s Park following the parade. The evening will be complete with a fireworks display at dusk. 

The Anacortes Parks Foundation is now accepting donations to offset the costs of the fireworks display:
