Gallery Walk this coming Friday will feature large-scale steamroller block printing such as this one at the recent Anacortes Arts Festival.

The Gallery Walk is Friday, October 2, when downtown galleries are open from 6 - 9 pm.

A.C.M.E. Creative Space will be joining forces with the Anacortes Arts Festival to exhibit the popular Steamroller Block Printing Project. A team of 22 artists worked during the Festival to create large scale block prints on fabric using an industrial grade steam roller. Some of the artists involved included Natalie Niblack, Jean Behnke, Kathleen Faulkner, Nicolette Harrington, Sue Roberts and Cathy Schoenberg.

Scott Milo Gallery presents new monoprints by Marie Powell of Ilwaco, WA. Powell brings a new selection of coastal images, in addition to abstract work and florals in bright colors. Also showing are abstract pastels by Amanda Houston, oils by Brooke Borcherding, pastels by Jan Wall, oils by Keith Sorenson and steel mesh with glass tables by Lanny Bergner.

The Anacortes Arts Commission presents The FIQ Divas, Friday, October 2, 6-9 pm and Saturday, October 3, 9:00 am - 2:00 pm. Join us for "ABOVE THE NECK", featuring jewelry, scarves, hats, fiber art and more for wearing on the neck or above. Portions of the proceeds will be donated to the Anacortes Family Center.
