There are lots of holiday-related events this weekend, including the lighting of the Community Christmas Tree. 

Celebrate the Season
Friday, noon - 5pm, Port’s Event Center, foot of Commercial
Celebrate the Season is a series of events for families to begin a new tradition in staying home for the holidays. Guests during public days may take a photo with Santa, complete a craft, play games, enjoy hot chocolate and cookie or shop for unique gifts in our marketplace. The event center is decorated with Santa's house and Mrs. Claus Kitchen.

Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony
Friday, 6 - 7 p.m., 819 Commercial Ave.
Brighten up your holidays with the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. The Town Crier rings in the festivities, holiday songs are sung by Anacortes students and Santa arrives to light the tree. Hot cocoa and cookies are available by the Salvation Army. Afterwards come inside the chamber for pictures with Santa.

Winter Concert Series
Friday, 6:30 pm, Eagles Ballroom, 901 Seventh St
SAG Presents: Anacortes Winter Concert Series
Grammy Award winners Eric Tingstand and Nancy Rumbel have performed, recorded, and toured together for over 26 years, with 19 albums to their credit. Traveling to as many as 70 concert venues a year, they are friends who enjoy each other's company and truly love making music.

Chamber Holiday Art Walk
Friday, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
Spend the evening strolling through historic downtown Anacortes enjoying its galleries, shops and restaurants. More than 20 merchants will exhibit the work of local artists including paintings, sculptures, jewelry, photography, music and holiday specials.

Breakfast with Santa
Saturday, Dec 6, 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. , Fidalgo Center , 1701 22nd St.
( $6 per ticket) Buy your ticket at the Anacortes Parks and Rec Dept. - online or call 360-293-1918.
Join Santa for pancakes and merriment at the Annual Breakfast with Santa. The morning includes scrumptious pancakes, lively entertainment, children "make and take" crafts, live Christmas performances and photos with jolly old St. Nick. Get your tickets early as this event sells out.

Annual Lions Club Holiday Parade
Saturday, 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Ring in the holiday with Santa, the Town Crier, marching bands, local service organizations, choirs and clubs at the Annual Lions Club Christmas Parade downtown Anacortes.

Dream It Dinner & Auction
Saturday, 5:30 pm, Port’s Event Center, foot of Commercial Ave.
This is the centerpiece of the two week celebration. For just $40 per person, enjoy live music with Fidalgo Swing, food catered by Gere-a-deli and energetic auction. There will be games and some surprises for our guests. Proceeds benefit enrichment programs for students in Anacortes School District.

The Nutcracker
Saturday, 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, 2:30 p.m., AHS Brodniak Hall
Fidalgo DanceWorks presents the classic holiday ballet "The Nutcracker." The cast includes nearly 100 dancers and a special guest from the community as Mother Ginger.
