Anne Martin McCool Gallery opens a new show with "A Festive Collection" featuring Anne Martin McCool,Gallery and Guest Artists: Tracy Powell, Cathy Schoenberg, Peter Belknap, George Way, Art Learmonth, Carole Cunningham, Debbie Aldrich, Patsy Chamberlain, Barbara Hathaway, Marta Tottenham, Jane Hyde, Vicki Hampel and more.

KP Studios will have a mother-daughter show in December. Bright, colorful acrylics by Terry MacDonald and monochromatic encaustic by Lisa Kuhnlein.

Burton Jewelers, 620 Commercial Ave.,

Burton Jewelers will feature “Gems and Jazz”, along with the continuing art show of Max Benjamin, oils and pastels, and Steve Klein, art glass. A special collection of "phenomenal" gems, which have qualities like color change in different lights, star effects and pleochroism will be shown. Examples would be alexandrite, star ruby and sapphire and chrysoberyl cat's eye. The jazz guitarist featured is our longtime friend Julian Catford who will perform jazz greats and holiday favorites throughout the evening. Refreshments will be served.

Scott Milo Gallery, 420 Commercial Ave.

The gallery presents new brilliantly colored acrylics by Jennifer Bowman, photographs by Dick Garvey, Lewis Jones and Randy Dana, photo encaustics by Kathy Hastings, acrylics by Cynthia Richardson and pastels and oils by Amanda Houston. We will also have lots of new jewelry and glass work by regional artists.

The Majestic is proud to show work by Margaret Carpenter Arnett. While originally specializing in watercolor, she now enjoys pastels, pastel mixed with watercolor, experimenting with mixed media and collage, and finding that different subjects seem to benefit from different forms of expression.

The Apothecary Spa is proud to have Lance Ekhart as our Featured December Artist. Lance is a well-known local photographer whose photos are inspired by the beautiful Pacific Northwest and his sailing trips. Lance has captured images that are simply stunning. Please join us on Art Walk from 6-9pm. We will also be having an open house on Thursday the 4th from 5:30-8:00pm. Stop in for a tour anytime!

At the Depot, the Anacortes Arts Commission presents Holiday Art. Gifts for the holidays by local artists. Jewelry, books, fiber art and more just in time for the holidays. Depot Art Center, 611 R Ave. Friday, December 5 from 3:00 - 9:00 pm and Saturday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Anacortes Arts Festival Office, 505 O Ave.

The Festival will feature the artwork of Guemes artist Sue Roberts. Sue will be introducing new sculptural works. That evening we will also unveil the 2015 poster image created by Oregon artist Cada Johnson. Enjoy wine, cookies and meet the staff.
