Arts Festival adds Tulip Festival events

The new Best of the Fest fine art exhibition at the Depot Arts Center in Anacortes is an official Tulip Festival activity. It is an invitational featuring artwork from 25 of the Festival's best fine artists and booth artists, with a diversity of style and medium.  It includes eleven Skagit Valley artists including Max Benjamin,  Kathleen Faulkner, Alissa Johnson-Durling, Tracy Powell, Marius Hibbard, Keith Sorenson, Dederick Ward, Lanny Bergner, Leo Osborne, Katherine Lewis, Lin McJunkin, Steve Klein and Eve Deisher. The exhibition opens on Friday, April 4 at 6 pm for the Anacortes First Friday Gallery Walk, and continues daily 11 - 4 through April 12th.

Art in Bloom, An Evening of Color, is a new event on Saturday evening, April 5th, also at the Depot. Proceeds from this event will benefit cultural art for school children through a partnership with the Anacortes School District. Art in Bloom will feature creative food and spirits, lively silent and live auctions, including a “Collector’s Auction” of pre-owned artwork. Ticket prices are $40.
