Anne Martin McCool Gallery’s show is" Color in Winter”.....featuring new paintings by Anne Martin McCool. The gallery also features woodworking by George Way, handcrafted jewelry by Debbie Aldrich and Carole Cunningham, baskets by Jane Hyde, work by other gallery artists.

Burton Jewelers continues a special "Celebration of Scorpios" show featuring the paintings, drawings and woodblocks of iconic Northwest painter Guy Anderson and the sculpture of inspired Northwest sculptor Philip McCracken.  Both of these artists while firmly rooted in and drawing their inspiration from the Northwest speak to a universal spirit in their works. The gallery presents large oil paintings by Dederick Ward, many of them with a geological element.  Also showing are pastels by Sandy Byers, oils by Lorna Libert, mixed media by Martha Brouwer and acrylics by Cynthia Richardson.

The Majestic Inn and Spa features watercolor and pastel artist, Margaret Carpenter. Originally a traditional watercolorist, Margaret also works in pastel and likes to combine watercolor with pastel; she also experiments with collage and altered papers.  Now mostly retired as a professional art therapist years, she enjoys facilitating art therapy support groups at Merle Cancer Center and at Skagit Valley Hospital Cancer Care.

The Depot and the Anacortes Arts Commission presents, "What Were You Thinking?", a tribute to Dick Garvey by his photography students.  The show will be open on First Friday artwalk, February 7th from 6-10 pm and Saturday, February 8, 10-3.   You can also see some of the student's photographs at Starbucks on 18th & Commercial during the month of February.
