In addition to the 40-plus-Voice Barbershop Chorus - The An-O-Chords we will have their Headliner Chorus and Valley Voices, an acapella Chorus plus renowned Show MC, Ray Henders and other Special Guests and Quartets. The shows start at 1:30 pm and 7:30 pm Saturday.
it's one of the most colorful Barbershop shows in the country. The An-O-Chords have a well-deserved reputation for hosting the best quartets in the world for this show. The Annual Show is always the last full weekend of the month.
On Sunday, the venue changes to beautiful Washington Park for a day of fantastic food and barbershop. Starting at noon you can feast on a meal of BBQ salmon, baked beans, coleslaw and bread all for $14. Kids can get a gourmet hot dog, a bag of chips and a small drink for $7.50 and the ambience is Free! Bring lawn chairs, a blanket and a bottle of sunscreen!
Don't miss the Novice Quartet Contest! Beginning at 1:30, enjoy the novice barbershop quartet contest as novice and pickup quartets vie for the coveted An-O-Chord baseball cap. "Novice" might not be a good choice of words here; there are some really fine performances on the little beach front stage! Get a foursome together and join the fun.
Family Friendly? YOU BET! There's a very nice play area for the kids right next to the Picnic area. Come on out, enjoy the sun and watch the ferries come and go, a bask in the harmony of the An-O-Chords and their friends!
