Flamenco at Brodniak Hall

Savannah has independently brought internationally recognized Flamenco artists to diverse communities throughout Oregon, Washington and Idaho for the past 5 years. Ciudades celebrates this unique art form with 25 presentations of Flamenco music and dance in 4 states.  Savannah will be joined by renowned Gypsy singer Jesus Montoya of Seville as well as master guitarist Pedro Cortes.

She was born in Seattle to parents of Irish and Puerto Rican ancestry. Born into a community of musicians and street artists, as a child Savannah was constantly exposed to art and music. In her late teens She discovered Flamenco  and commenced her studies with dancer Ana Montes in Seattle. Making brief trips to Spain, she continued to expand and grow as a student, studying with artists such as La Tati, Belen Maya, and Cristobal Reyes.  

Upon her return to Seattle, she took her first class with Maestra Sara de Luis in Seattle. Maestra Sara de Luis continues to be a mentor and an inspiration to Savannah as she gains experience as a touring artist.  

Savannah began performing 7 years ago with her dear friend and mentor Dr. Veronica Barrera, with whom she continues to dance and grow with on and off stage. She currently tours throughout the Northwest with esteemed Flamenco artists such as Jesus Montoya, Pedro Cortes, and Saray Munoz Barrull.  Savannah has independently produced over 125 performances, workshops, and educational programs in the states of Washington, Oregon, and Idaho featuring internationally recognized Flamenco artists. She continues to study and grow as an artist.

The show is set for April 27th for a one night only presentation of Spanish Flamenco. The 8:00 pm performance is the 20th stop on dancer Savannah Fuentes's latest tour. Tickets are $12 student/low-income  $20 general, VIP $35 available at www.brownpapertickets.com.
