The Anacortes Arts Festival presents On Ensemble, on Friday, April 26th, 8 pm, at Brodniak Hall in Anacortes. Tickets prices are $12 through brownpapertickets.com, or $15 at the door. Children under 10 are free.
Modern Drummer magazine calls On Ensemble “an exciting taiko ensemble looking at new ways to apply traditional Japanese drums.” The four members are individually recognized as leading artists in their field and sought after as teachers, workshop leaders, composers and performers.
On Ensemble performs regularly in concert halls, theaters, and outdoor venues throughout the United States and Canada. Their dynamic performances appeal to adventurous, curious, music-loving audiences of all ages.
This concert is supported by grants from WESTAF and National Endowment for the Arts. In addition to the public performance, The Festival’s Cultural Arts Series also provides performances of On Ensemble for school age children in the Anacortes School District.
