Among the artist exhibits featured this Friday is a collaborative exhibition of poetry and the visual arts featuring the work of Ann Reid, Eve Deisher and the poems of eleven regional poets curated by Jane Alynn at the Anchor Art Space, including this work, Breathe, by Eve Deisher.
The Gallery Walk is Friday, November 2 from 6 – 9 pm.

Word Waves is a new community-wide literary project. Activities include a pen-a-poem contest through local merchants, poetry and art at the first Friday Gallery Walk, regional poetry reading at Anchor Art Space and poetry focus in the Anacortes American and Anacortes Magazine. Additionally, the Port of Anacortes and City of Anacortes will install permanent signage with printed poetry at Cap Sante Marina and Washington Park. The Word Waves culmination is an evening of poetry including Washington State Poet Laureate Kathleen Flenniken and other regional poets at the Anacortes Library on November 8.
