Arts Fest winners announced

Fred & Christopher Null of Portland, Ore. (slate and metal furniture) took home the Best of the Fest Award for booth artisans during the 49th Anacortes Arts Festival. The $2,000 award is co-sponsored by Wells Fargo Bank and the Festival.  Other booth artist winners included:

$1,000 Creativity Award sponsored by Cornelia’s Garden to Jeffrey Zigulis of Camano Island (masks).
 
Anacortes Chamber of Commerce $100 Partnership Awards to:

  • Kelly Phipps of Lyle, WA (metalwork)
  • Dan & Joi Lachaussee of Langley (glass)
  • Eric Logeliers of Leaburg, OR (metal)
  • Jeffrey Zigulis of Camano Island (masks)
  • Chris Honeysett of San Rafael, CA (black & white photography)
  • Noelle Dass of Eugene, OR (painting)

 Arts art the Port Fine Art Awards were:

  • $2,500 Karen Hackenberg (painting) from Port Townsend Best of Show 2D
  • $2,500 Michael DeForest (wood) of Portland, OR won the Best of Show 3D

$500 T-Bailey Corporate Award sponsored by T Bailey to Rex Silvernail of LaCenter (wood sculpture).
 
Anacortes Collects Purchase Awards (purchase amount funded by the Festival for public art display) – partner Anacortes School District – pieces to be hung at Anacortes High School
