The Island Hospital Sleep Disorders Center is now seeing patients at its brand-new, specially designed facility at 1110 22nd Street (between N and O avenues). 

Our schools are looking for donations to help purchase items that haven’t been funded in the tightened school district budget. The projects that still need funding range from display cases to field trips to community service projects designed by students. 

The state Senate has approved legislation to designate the Anacortes-San Juan Island ferry route a “State Scenic Byway.” State Senator Kevin Ranker authored the bill. 

One State Representative wants to make it clear that the state ferry system is part of the highway system by changing the Washington State Ferries name to Washington State Marine Highway System, similar in name to the Alaska ferry system. 

Employees of a clinic in the 1500 block of Commercial Avenue discovered that someone had thrown a rock through a large picture window on the northeast corner of the building.
