Skagit County’s unemployment rate rose to nearly 11 percent, more than 2 and a half points above the state’s unemployment level last month.

The Guemes Island Ferry will be out of service for about 12 days for scheduled maintenance starting Wednesday, April 15. It will be replaced by a passenger ferry in the interim.
