Residents of the Skyline area reported 35 separate vehicle prowls that were believed to have occurred between Tuesday (Feb. 23) night and Wednesday morning. All of the prowls were from unlocked vehicles and several cars were found with their doors and glove boxes left open after being prowled. 

America's Cup trophy to visit Anacortes

The America's Cup trophy, shown here during a reception in San Diego earlier this week, will be brought to Anacortes for a visit, probably in early April, according to Mayor Dean Maxwell. The winning boat, build here by BMW Oracle Racing, won the cup in races off Valencia, Spain earlier this month.

City & PUD request voluntary water conservation
