A few of an estimated 2,000 riders climb M Ave. in Anacortes Saturday morning as part of the Bike MS Ride. The ride, a fundraising event for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, is an annual 2-day event through Skagit, Whatcom and Island Counties.

Construction work just south of Anacortes Marina could cause some middle-of-the-night noise in the coming couple of months. The City Council Monday okayed a request by MJB to allow noise from 10pm to 7am for up to 29 nights.
