Much colder temperatures and a chance of spotty lowland snow at times Wednesday night through the weekend. Low temperatures Thursday morning will generally be in the low 30s but highs will struggle to reach 40 during the afternoon hours.
The city is planning to build a roundabout at 22nd St. and R Ave. It would be the second roundabout in the city, following on the heels of what the city terms a successful roundabout at Commercial Ave. and Highway 20.
The city says new stop signs and crosswalks at 32nd St. and M Ave. designed to improve pedestrian safety, particularly student safety, are causing confusion by drivers. The city says they've had complaints that some drivers stop at the stop signs when no one is in a crosswalk.
A group of Anacortes Port District projects planned for this year ranges from a mitigation project at the former Wyman’s Marina to marina improvements including A Dock ramp planning.
The Port of Anacortes is pleased to announce this year’s elected officers. The Port Commission elected the officers at their regular meeting on January 3, 2013. The 2013 elected officers will be: Bill Short, President; Bob Eberle, Vice-President; Ray Niver, Secretary.
