Explosive ordinance disposal technicians from Naval Air Station Whidbey were called to Anacortes to examine and remove a live hand grenade.

A search near downtown Anacortes has turned up the body of a man who went missing from Harbor House earlier this week. The body of William Landers was located by the search team in a wooded, wetland area near Market Street, not far from where he lived. There are no signs of foul play.
