Anacortes firefighters are now using specific techniques to cut and remove vehicles from around trapped auto crash victims.

As summer draws to an end and school is about to begin, I want to take some time to give you an update about the events that have occurred since session came to a close.

A 33 year-old Anacortes woman was booked in the Skagit County Jail on DUI charges on Thursday evening and was also charged with reckless endangerment because two children were in the vehicle she was driving.

The state is planning to open Highway 20 across the North Cascades as early as noon this Sunday after being closed due to fire danger, according to an announcement.
