(Uodated 8:00 pm Friday) As two water-dropping helicopters and fire crews work on a fire just east of Little Cranberry Lake, the city says the fire may need “active management” for several weeks, adding that no evacuations are expected.

Water-dropping helicopters have been brought in to fight a fire in the Anacortes Community Forest Lands on the east side of Little Cranberry Lake and just west of Forest Ridge.
