Fidalgo Medical Associates, long located immediately adjacent to Island Hospital, is being purchased by the Hospital. The private medical clinic includes ten physicians and three advanced registered nurse practitioners.

A yellow boom has been placed around the derelict tug Enchantress preliminary to the start of work which will lead to the removal of the tug. First order of business is a cleanup of toxic materials on the tug, including asbestos removal.
The City Council has started their review of the Mayor’s proposed $45-million budget for the coming year. The Council met with city department heads one at a time Monday night to go over the budget.
