Mayor Dean Maxwell told the City Council Monday night that “The phoenix will rise from the ashes,” even as the city pursues the cause of the fire that destroyed the central portion of the trestle across Fidalgo Bay.
The city is moving quickly to repair the Tommy Thompson Trail trestle damaged last week by fire. Mayor Dean Maxwell says he hopes to know more by the end of today just how much damage was done.
