Half a dozen Old Town residents urged the City Council to okay proposed zoning and Comprehensive Plan changes for a one block area of Old Town.

The City Council has okayed a conservative $38 million city budget for next year that includes a one percent increase in the city's property tax levy, the maximum allowed by law without having to put the hike to a public vote.
