The City's Public Works Department is moving forward with an improvement project at City Hall which includes installing new manholes and pipe on the City Hall sewer line at the north end of the building. As a result, Q Ave. will be closed between 5th & 6th streets for up to a week, starting Monday.

Toxic algae blooms have cleared from Fidalgo Island lakes

The Health Department reports that Fidalgo Island lakes, including Pass and Campbell lakes, appear clear and free from blue green algae blooms.  The Toxic Algae Bloom Warning has been lifted from Pass Lake and the Caution from Campbell Lake based on visually clear water and sample results.

Port sinks Boat Haven name
