Anacortes Police cited a 69 year old driver for impeding traffic with 12-15 cars backed up behind him as he drove up 32nd Street.

A couple arrested last month when Anacortes Police rescued a one year old child from what Police Chief Bonnie Bowers called “horrific, filthy and dangerous conditions” in a garage have pleaded not guilty to charges in the case, including first-degree criminal mistreatment.

Bills introduced by Sen. Kevin Ranker (D-Orcas Island) and Rep. Joe Fitzgibbon (D-Burien) on Friday will require the state’s major polluters to pay for producing carbon pollution.
