An Anacortes teen was cited for hit-and-run after his vehicle hit a retaining wall and damaged his vehicle so badly that parts of the car dragged on the ground when he drove off.

A 40-year-old Anacortes man was arrested and charged with theft after stealing a gallon of milk from a convenience store on 12th Street early Sunday morning.

A second Skagit County resident has died from laboratory-confirmed influenza.  Skagit County Public Health received notification that the man, in his 30s, died in late January from complications related to both pneumonia and influenza. 

The two Anacortes school levies appear to be passing with more than 60 percent approval in early vote counts.
