A 7-foot section of a 12 inch water main broke late Wednesday night at 12th St. and Commercial Ave., causing a fairly large hole in the street and pumping water and mud onto the streets for a couple blocks around.

Washington will get ferry money after all

Looks like Senator Patty Murray managed to get $3 million in federal transportation money to build a new WSF ferry terminal in Anacortes. The state had asked for $26 million for the Anacortes terminal.
