Anacortes Police now say the husband of the 41-year old school teacher who was apparently murdered in the family home on Tuesday is suspected of the crime.

The 41-year-old Anacortes woman who was apparently stabbed to death has been identified as Caitlin Follstad, a teacher at Island View Elementary School.

Phase 1 of an affordable housing project owned and operated by Mercy Housing Northwest on Bellingham’s waterfront, has opened 83 units of workforce and family rental housing.

A search was under way Tuesday night for the husband of a 41-year old woman whose body was discovered earlier that afternoon.
