ASF awards nearly $100,000 in scholarships

More than 50 Anacortes High School graduates received scholarships worth a total of nearly $100,000 at this week’s scholarship ceremony hosted by the Anacortes Schools Foundation. After the ceremony, the students gathered on stage for a group photo.

City Parks planning a spray pad

A new $10 million, 85-foot yacht built by Northern Marine capsized immediately as it was launched at Fidalgo Marina, near 30th Street. The yacht was launched at around 9pm Sunday night and simply rolled over after it was launched down a ramp.
