Anacortes firefighters are now using specific techniques to cut and remove vehicles from around trapped auto crash victims.

As summer draws to an end and school is about to begin, I want to take some time to give you an update about the events that have occurred since session came to a close.

A 33 year-old Anacortes woman was booked in the Skagit County Jail on DUI charges on Thursday evening and was also charged with reckless endangerment because two children were in the vehicle she was driving. 

Skagit County will host a community workshop on the 2016 Skagit County Comprehensive Plan Update at Fidalgo Island School on Tuesday, September 22.

There were 25 victims of fraud in Anacortes from January to July of this year. Twenty-five instances where something of value was taken from someone in a fraudulent way.
