The Kiwanis Club Christmas tree pickup is scheduled for Saturday, January 5, 2019. This pick up is for city residents only. Have your tree on the curb by 7:00 a.m. January 5th. The tree must be clean (no wires, tinsel, flocking, etc.). Please consider a donation of a canned food with your tree or send a donation of $5 to the Anacortes Key Club, c/o The Kiwanis Shop, 420 “O” Avenue, Anacortes, WA 98221.

For the second week, Police tackled several reports of mail and packages being stolen. In one case, mail was found at a forest lands trailhead.
It’s the Holiday Season and that means residents need to watch for package deliveries. One resident reported multiple thefts.
Police had to chase down a DUI driver from Cap Sante to a location on T Ave. But, when the driver stopped, he jumped out and police got into a short foot pursuit.
