Early this Saturday morning, drivers on Interstate 5 may experience minor delays through the Mount Vernon and Burlington area, while Department of Transportion bridge inspection crews give the temporary spans a checkup.

All four mayoral candidates Tuesday evening appeared together before an overflow audience estimated at more than 200 at the Senior Center just one week before the primary election.

A Saturday, August 3 benefit music concert will be held at Anacortes First Baptist Church for local barber/musician Eric Neufeld, who is battling cancer.

Due to extended warm dry weather and the extreme fire danger, a ban on recreational fires is in effect for the City of Anacortes.
