APD has received two independent reports from local residents who contacted police after receiving fraudulent calls from someone claiming to be “Sergeant Cook” of the Anacortes Police Department.

Three of students from Anacortes were recently awarded $4,000 scholarships from Tesoro Corp.

The Anacortes/San Juan Islands ferry route will operate on an emergency schedule through at least the end of the month due to the breakdown of the Yakima. 

Over $2,000 in property damage was done during an attempt to break in to two small businesses in the Sharpes Corner area.

The Anacortes Schools Foundation this summer is offering a series of six STEM-related classes for students moving up to sixth, seventh or eighth grades at the middle school.
